2009 Christmas Stamps of Gibraltar

PDF Print E-mail
The 2009 Christmas stamps of Gibraltar depict some beautiful tree decorations.

The custom of erecting a Christmas tree and decorating it dates back 500 years to 16th Century Germany. Trees were originally decorated with candles to represent life in winter and light in darkness in much the same way as the birth of Jesus brings light and hope to humanity.

This set contains 5 stamps and priced £3.47

- Mrs. Nagalakshmi Tadakaluri, Philatelist.
