Postage Stamps on India-China Relationship

PDF Print E-mail
The stamps depicting two famous Buddhist temples, the Mahabodhi Temple of India and the White Horse Temple of China were released by the Communications and Information Technology Minister Thiru A Raja in the presence of Indian and Chinese officials in New Delhi on 11th July, 2008.

The Chinese version of these stamps was released in Beijing last month during the visit of External Affairs Minister of India. The common design of the stamps has been jointly done by Postal Departments of India and China.

These two joint stamps are the finest symbols of the cultural binding force between India and China.

- Mrs. Nagalakshmi Tadakaluri, Philatelist.
