The worlds most expensive stamp collection ever sold, amazingly had only 183 items, of all different philatelic types. It consists of classic Mauritian stamps with just four stamps making up 75% of it complete value!

The collection was brought by industrialist Hiroyuki Kanai who paid a record $10,145,269 (US) for the collection. It remains to this day as the largest price paid for a collection.
