World's Most Expensive Stamp - Update.

The world's most expensive stamp has been purchased by a collector in a sensational "swap", which has baffled many collectors around the world.

The transaction involved Bond investor Bill Gross swapping a block of four recently purchased 24c "Inverted Jenny" stamps for the world's only known copy of the American 1c Z-grill stamp.

The block of four "Inverted Jenny" stamps was purchased for around $3,000,000 (US), thus making the 1c Z-grill the worlds most expensive stamp!

At this time the stamp is not listed in the Guinness book of records, as technically the item was not sold. Therefore the previous record still stands.
