King Edward VIII - Stamp Issues PDF Print E-mail

During the brief reign of King Edward VIII, only the four most commonly used values were issued : 1/2d, 1d, 1 1/2d and 2 1/2d. By contrast to previous definitive issues the design was kept extremely simple and was very suitable for reproduction by Photogravure. It was suggested by H.J Brown and the portrait was taken from a photograph by Hugh Cecil and printed in Photogravure by Harrison & Sons.
